The scientific name of water wisteria is Hydrophila

difformis this plant is a user friendly for the beginners.

the leaf are cuts and curves used with the normal

substrate. The suitable ph level for the plant is 6.5 to

7.5 with for the temperature of 24-28 degree Celsius.


It grow widely on the tank and get adapted for the low

lighting. It is also known as a carpet plant you can fix

many tip of the plant in the substrate to look as carpet

plant. The water wisteria is found in India and

Bangladesh during the rainy season but in the

aquarium it can grow throughout the year this plant

can propagation by cutting stem method which the

stem of the plant is cut and placed on the substrate it

will catch the root even you can cut a single leaf and

insert it in substrate it will also grow in very short span

of time. Take the decay leaf because it mighty

increases the ph level in your aquarium. In few

condition of growing style the temperature and water

will differ in the case the leaf might be in rounded

shape and few days it will split so depending upon the

water and temperature.
